How To Make Delicious Food

It’s a moist and flavourful cake that is whipped up in no time.
INGREDIENTS :
- 125g [½ cup] butter [room temperature]
- 125g [½ cup] sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 50g [⅓ cup] flour
- 100g ground almonds
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 3 small ripe pears
- 50g sliced almonds
INSTRUCTIONS :
- preheat oven to 180°C [375°F]
- grease a springform pan [line the bottom with a parchment paper]
- peel, core and cut pears in half
- beat butter and sugar together
- add eggs and beat will
- fold in flour, ground almonds and baking powder
- spoon batter into the baking pan
- arrange pear halves [cut side down] in a circle on top of the cake [press them in slightly]
- bake for 25 minutes
- sprinkle with almond slices and bake for another 8-10 minutes [until a skewer inserted comes out clean]
- leave to cool to room temperature
